Terms & Conditions
Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions set out the expectations for working with Briefed (operated by Becky White). By engaging our services, you agree to the following terms.
1. Scope of Work
All projects will be outlined in a written proposal, scope document, or agreement. This will include deliverables, timelines, responsibilities, and pricing.
Any work requested outside the agreed scope will be quoted separately and may affect timelines and budgets.
2. Subcontractors and Creative Partners
To deliver the best results, we may engage trusted subcontractors, freelancers, or partner agencies to complete parts of your project.
These collaborators are carefully chosen for their expertise, and we oversee the process to ensure high-quality delivery.
Where applicable, we’ll outline any third-party terms (e.g. usage rights, timelines, revision limits) at the beginning of the project, as these may differ slightly from our own.
3. Revisions
The number of revision rounds will be outlined at the beginning of the project, based on the scope and nature of the work.
Additional revisions or significant changes to the direction of the project may incur extra charges, which will be quoted and agreed in advance.
4. Timelines & Delays
Project timelines will be agreed at the outset and depend on timely feedback and approvals.
We’re committed to keeping things moving, but delays may occur if feedback, materials, or approvals are delayed. If timelines shift due to circumstances outside our control, we’ll communicate proactively and update the schedule accordingly.
5. Payment Terms
A 50% deposit may be required before work begins.
The remaining balance is due on completion, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Invoices are payable on the 20th of the month following the completion of the work.
Late payments may incur a 5% monthly fee.
All amounts are in NZD and exclusive of GST, unless otherwise stated.
6. Intellectual Property
Once full payment is received, ownership of final approved deliverables will transfer to you.
Drafts, working files, or unused concepts remain the property of Briefed unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Licensing terms from third-party creatives (e.g. photographers, designers) will be made clear before work begins.
7. Cancellations & Refunds
If a project is cancelled by the client after work has commenced:
-
All completed work to date will be invoiced and payable.
-
Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.
-
If we need to cancel or postpone a project due to unforeseen circumstances, we will refund any unspent portion of the deposit and help transition the project where possible,
8. Confidentiality
All client information, materials, and strategic discussions will be treated as confidential and will not be shared with third parties outside the delivery team without your consent.
9. Liability
While we take care to deliver high-quality work, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for outcomes resulting from how deliverables are used once in your hands.
You are responsible for reviewing and approving all final outputs before they are published or distributed.
